Krista was born in Columbia, South Carolina but moved to Charlotte, North Carolina at age three. She lived in Charlotte until moving to Raleigh after graduating highschool to attend NC State University to pursue a degree in elementary education and a master's of education in reading instruction. Krista taught Kindergarten and First Grade at schools in Raleigh, Newport News, VA and Goldsboro, NC; moving around frequently following her husband's Air Force career.

She and her husband moved to Greensboro in May 2018, a few months after welcoming their first child, when he separated from the military and purchased his own dental practice here to ensure their family could put down roots somewhere for themselves and their children. Their second baby is due to arrive arrive in May 2020. Dominick, born 2/10/18, and Finley the beagle are excited to be big brothers!

Krista is thrilled to now be a part of the same Fit4Mom team that helped her prioritize herself as a new Mom and helped her to make friends in a new city as a stay at home Mom, with no other connections to Greensboro. Fitness has always been her passion; she has run 13 half marathons and 2 full marathons. When not at a Fit4Mom class she enjoys running with Dominick, cycling and lifting weights in her garage gym, and hot yoga.
